Roztocze Polesie

The Polesie National Park (Poleski Park Narodowy) is situated in the Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland, in the Polish part of the historical region of Polesie. The park lies on the Łęczna-Włodawa Lakeland. It’s terrain is flat, with numerous lakes and peat-bogs. The region is covered by a network of walking, cycling and canoeing trails, marked on the map.

Białowieża Forest is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest that once stretched across the European Plain. It straddles the border between Poland (Podlaskie Voivodeship) and Belarus (Brest and Grodno voblasts), and is 70 kilometres north of Brest, Belarus and 62 kilometres southeast of Białystok, Poland. The forest is home to 800 European bison, Europe's heaviest land animal. The forest has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an EU Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation.

Roztocze is a range of hills in east-central Poland and western Ukraine which rises from the Lublin Upland and extends southeastward through Solska Wilderness and across the border into Ukrainian Podolia. It is approximately 180 km long and 14 km wide. Its highest peak within Poland is Wielki Dział at 390 meters. Polish Roztocze lies in the Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodships. In 2011 UNESCO established the Roztochya Biosphere Reserve. The Polish portion of the range makes up the Roztocze National Park.

Mapa "Rowerem po Roztoczu" powstała przy współpracy gmin z tego obszaru: Zwierzyniec, Krasnobród, Józefów, Susiec, Tomaszów Lubelski, Narol, Horyniec Zdrój, Bełżec, Lubycza Królewska i Cieszanów.
